Recreating the Donkey Kong video game with Scratch – January 2023

Recreate an iconic classic game format inside of the online game platform, Scratch. Students will be given the opportunity to explore Donkey Kong’s game design and rebuild it from the ground up. Go from the basics of level design to hand-writing scripts using a wide array of switch statements, conditionals, and scene management. Students will use these skills to create a custom version of the game Donkey Kong, with their own handmade levels and in-game abilities.
